About the Role:

This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. As an experienced Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, and providing primary and emergency care for patients undergoing elective orthopedic surgery and other medical-surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate RN who possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working in a fast-paced medical environment. A minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
  • Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks efficiently, and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Additionally, they must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Albany Medical Center offers a competitive salary range of $93,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
