Position Summary at Boldt:

We invite you to apply for the role of Project Manager II at Boldt Company. In this capacity, you will manage all facets of project execution, from initial planning through to completion and handover. The Project Manager II is pivotal in protecting and promoting Boldt's interests on our projects every day. You will ensure that operations comply with safety regulations, adhere to timelines, and are carried out with the highest quality standards while remaining within budget constraints. This proactive role entails leading project communication efforts both within the organization and with external partners, as well as effectively managing the project team.

Core Responsibilities:

Safety Management:

  • Actively participate in daily safety initiatives.
  • Implement the Safety Culture Improvement Plan throughout the project.
  • Advocate for safety with a commitment to ensuring everyone returns home safely each day.
  • Dedicate yourself to ongoing education to enhance project safety measures.

Team Leadership:

  • Guide various stakeholders in addressing issues related to plans, specifications, and site challenges.
  • Facilitate meetings to synchronize design and construction efforts.
  • Empower a high-performing team to foster organizational growth and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor team members in achieving performance and objectives.
  • Support company-wide internship and apprenticeship initiatives.
  • Engage in training and mentorship activities.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the team comprehends contract documents and enforces Quality Management Systems.
  • Lead design evaluations, recommend materials and methodologies, and prepare cost estimates.

Project Scheduling:

  • Oversee the Boldt Production System for scheduling and production monitoring.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and procurement processes in line with project timelines.
  • Maintain visual production plans and site logistics.

Financial Management:

  • Negotiate and oversee change orders, manage costs, and budgets.
  • Provide assistance for cost control and budget oversight.
  • Lead segments of the project budget.
  • Clarify budget and estimate details to both internal and external stakeholders.

Risk Management:

  • Develop a list of contract items and trade scope of work documents.
  • Execute subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Participate in project close-out processes and risk management strategies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in identifying and mitigating project risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction practices, materials, and standards.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Office Suites.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This role involves various physical activities and working conditions, including computer usage, navigating different environments, and lifting weights. The employee may experience loud noises, odors, and work in both indoor and outdoor settings. Personal protective equipment is essential, and overtime or weekend work may be required.
