Job SummaryThe Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in our healthcare team, providing respiratory care services to patients of all ages. This includes invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, aerosol medication administration, and chest physical therapy, among other responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care services to patients, including ventilator management and airway management
- Administer aerosol medications and perform chest physical therapy
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and electrocardiogram acquisition and management
- Participate in code blue and rapid response situations
- Support neonatal resuscitation efforts and provide respiratory-focused patient teaching
- 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy (preferred)
- Associate's degree in respiratory therapy (required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist certification (required)
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification (required)
- Basic Life Support certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification (required within 1 year of hire)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (required within 1 year of hire)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification (required within 1 year of hire)
This position requires a 7:00pm-7:00am work schedule.
Weekend and Call RequirementsNo weekend work is required, but call requirements apply.
