Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at WakeMed Health & Hospitals. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, aerosol medication administration, and chest physical therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management
  • Manage airways and administer aerosol medications as needed
  • Perform chest physical therapy and other respiratory-related procedures
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and electrocardiograms as required
  • Participate in code blue and rapid response situations
  • Support neonatal resuscitation efforts at high-risk infant deliveries
  • Transport ventilator patients and provide respiratory-focused patient teaching
Requirements
  • 1 Year Clinical - Respiratory Therapy Preferred
  • Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Required
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist Required
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner Required
  • Basic Life Support Required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Required - Within 1 Year of Hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required - Within 1 Year of Hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Required - Within 1 Year of Hire
