Key Responsibilities
  • Scientific Knowledge and Customer Engagement: Provide in-depth scientific knowledge and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of our biologic products.
  • Reimbursement and Distribution: Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify the appropriate resources to refer customers to for reimbursement and distribution choices.
  • Product Education: Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers to ensure they have the necessary knowledge to effectively use our products.
  • Compliance and GSK Values: Maintain knowledge and data on severe asthma therapeutic expertise and work within compliance guidelines and GSK values at all times.
  • Sales Strategy and Tactics: Develop and implement strategies and tactics to generate sales and meet business objectives.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with marketing, payer relations managers, medical professionals, and other functions within GSK.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage allocated resources, including financial resources, to achieve business objectives.
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests, inquiries, and needs in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a life science or related field is required.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight travel up to 30%.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, and the ability to drive or operate a vehicle is an essential function of this role.
  • Experience: 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales or medical device sales experience is required for the Specialty Account Specialist role, and 15+ years of experience is required for the Senior Specialty Account Specialist role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty Products: Experience with specialty products that utilize the Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy modes of distribution is a plus.
  • Payer Reimbursement Managers: Expertise in working with payer reimbursement managers is a plus.
  • Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales: Experience in biologic, rare disease, or respiratory sales is a plus.
  • Cross-Functional Matrix Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams is a plus.
  • Consistent Performance: Demonstrated consistent performance over time is a plus.
