About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ride Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Knott's Berry Farm. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our park's rides and attractions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Maintenance Activities: Oversee the work of subordinate crew members, including scheduling, instructing, and assigning tasks to ensure that maintenance activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Inspect and Troubleshoot Rides: Conduct regular inspections of rides and attractions to identify potential issues and troubleshoot mechanical problems as needed.
  • Develop and Implement Maintenance Schedules: Determine preventive maintenance schedules and ensure that all necessary work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Compliance with Safety and Quality Standards: Inspect all in-house and contracted work to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, specifications, and standards of quality and safety.
  • Manage Maintenance Records and Reports: Review and maintain accurate records and reports, including inspection records, logs, schedules, work orders, downtime reports, and incident/accident reports.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Interact and communicate with various groups and individuals, including immediate supervisors, other park managers and staff, subordinates, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, and manufacturer representatives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Vocational or Technical Training: Vocational or technical training in maintenance or mechanics is preferred.
  • NAARSO Level 1 Ride Inspector Certification: NAARSO Level 1 Ride Inspector certification is preferred.
  • AIMS Level 1 Certification: AIMS Level 1 certification is preferred.
  • 4-6 Years of Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years of verifiable experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or amusement setting.
  • Leadership Experience: At least 1-3 years of prior leadership experience.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to Work Nights and Weekends: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
