About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent to join our team at Texas A&M AgriLife Agencies and College. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing, planning, and evaluating educational programs and activities in assigned program areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive in-depth and outreach program plans that address base programs, critical issues, and clientele needs.
  • Provide leadership and support in implementing educational programs that address critical issues and emerging needs.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, strategies, and techniques to conduct educational programs.
  • Collaborate with other agencies, groups, and organizations to plan educational programs.
  • Work with and support Extension-sponsored groups, such as 4-H clubs, to achieve increased participation and strengthened programs.
  • Maintain a neat office that facilitates effective working conditions and presents a favorable image.
  • Stay informed on Extension policy, research reports, and publications that are applicable to program responsibilities and position description.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • No prior experience required (Note: Urban designated counties require minimum of three years of related professional level experience).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and graphic software.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
