Dental Office Support Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Office Assistant to join our team at White Oak Dental Care. As a key member of our front office, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our dental team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, creating a positive first impression of our practice
- Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
- File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verification of benefits, and explanation of coverage
- Post insurance and patient payments, processing accounts receivables in a timely and efficient manner
- Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients, providing clear and concise information
- Partner with our dental team to implement Heartland Dental systems, optimizing office potential and improving patient care

Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable, with knowledge of Dentrix or other dental software
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
