About the Role

Petro Papa is seeking a seasoned Chief Information Security Officer to lead our enterprise security vision, strategy, and program. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the security and protection of our information assets and technologies, including both IT and OT security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of a cybersecurity program that increases the maturity of critical security capabilities across both IT and OT.
  • Prioritize security initiatives based on data-driven assessments to ensure that investments are aligned to address the highest risk areas across the enterprise environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
  • Oversee all aspects of security operations, including monitoring, detection, incident response, and recovery.
  • Lead the investigation of security breaches and collaborate with operations, legal, and other functions to determine enterprise-wide actions.
  • Work with OT personnel to maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure effective controls across IT and OT environments.
  • Collaborate and communicate with IT and OT leadership to ensure a unified approach to security across the enterprise.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and enable the company to deploy transformational technologies with architecture and design that protect the company from threats.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of security training programs across the company to increase cybersecurity awareness.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 15 years of information technology experience, including 7 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced understanding in several areas, including platform security, data security, network security, perimeter security, physical security, security assessment tools, security monitoring tools, and managed security services.
  • Experience with information system disaster recovery planning and testing, auditing, risk analysis, business system resumption planning, and contingency planning.
  • Leadership experience developing global policies and strategies in collaboration with existing IT teams to protect human, physical, and information technology assets and intellectual property.
  • Experience with applicable regulatory and standards frameworks, such as SOX, GLBA, SSAE16, PCI, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO2700x, NIST, and TSA Directives.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with OT security.
  • Fortune 500 manufacturing and/or oil and gas company experience is desired.
  • Ability to manage direct and indirect reports, as well as contractors.
