Position Overview

Petro Papa is in search of a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) who will be pivotal in shaping and sustaining the organization's security vision, strategy, and comprehensive program to safeguard information assets and technological resources. This role encompasses the supervision of both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) security measures that protect the digital and physical infrastructure.

The CISO will collaborate with senior management to establish acceptable risk levels and provide strategic leadership for the company's security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include:

  • Proactively partnering with the Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) to serve as a trusted advisor to senior management in the development and implementation of enterprise-wide information security technologies.
  • Formulating and maintaining a cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives.
  • Creating a cybersecurity program aimed at enhancing the maturity of critical security capabilities across both IT and OT, including the establishment of a security scorecard to track growth and improvements.
  • Prioritizing security initiatives based on data-driven assessments to align investments with the highest risk areas.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
  • Overseeing all aspects of security operations, including monitoring, detection, incident response, and recovery.
  • Leading investigations into security breaches and collaborating with various departments to determine necessary enterprise-wide actions.
  • Working with OT personnel to maintain effective security policies, standards, and procedures across IT and OT environments.
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration with IT/OT leadership to ensure a unified security approach across the organization.
  • Researching emerging trends to enable the deployment of transformative technologies that protect the organization from potential threats.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of security training programs to enhance cybersecurity awareness across the company.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in information technology, including at least 7 years in a leadership role.
  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
Essential Skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively across various business functions and communicate effectively in a dynamic global environment.
  • Experience in developing global policies and strategies in collaboration with IT teams to protect assets and intellectual property.
  • Advanced knowledge in areas such as Platform Security, Data Security, Network Security, and Security Monitoring Tools.
  • Familiarity with Security Governance Standards, Business Continuity Planning, and Compliance.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning, auditing, and risk analysis.
  • Expertise in managing IT security implementations.
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment, including EU GDPR and related laws.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in OT Security.
  • Background in Fortune 500 manufacturing or oil & gas sectors.
  • Experience managing both direct and indirect reports, as well as contractors.
Work Environment

This position is office-based with potential travel requirements. Candidates should be prepared to adapt to varying conditions.

Physical Requirements

The role may require standing, walking, sitting, and making visual inspections, as well as performing precise hand movements.
