Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Western Territory. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for supervising related family members of the store manager, assisting with day-to-day operations, and ensuring excellent customer and donor service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise and Support Store Operations

Take an active role in partnering with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the store. Assume responsibility for all day-to-day operations in the absence of the Store Manager.

Lead and Develop Team Members

Provide coaching, training, and development to store employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

Ensure Excellent Customer Service

Maintain good customer and donor relations, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure service is quick and efficient.

Manage Store Operations

Coordinate shift changes, team meetings, and ensure compliance with published directives and guidelines.

Process and Manage Store Operations

Process paperwork, including time and attendance notifications, and ensure store merchandising standards are maintained.

Ensure Store Safety and Security

Implement safety measures, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and ensure the protection of customers, employees, property, and building.
