About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our Community Development Department in a leadership role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading site/civil projects from design through permitting, including detailed site design, stormwater drainage design, and civil engineering design of municipal, institutional, public works, and development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead site/civil projects from design through permitting, including detailed site design, stormwater drainage design, and civil engineering design of municipal, institutional, public works, and development projects.
  • Provide day-to-day mentoring of project staff, including supporting professional growth and development.
  • Assist in new business pursuits related to site development and municipal engineering, and support market growth initiatives within northern New England.
  • Act as the lead during proposal development, responsible for client communications, and maintaining client relationships.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to our high standards of work through a QA/QC process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or civil and environmental engineering.
  • At least 6 years (10+ preferred) of relevant working experience.
  • PE license is required.
  • Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge required; HydroCAD or similar experience a plus.
  • GIS, HEC-RAS, and/or OpenRoads modeling skills are a plus.
  • Experience logging test pits and evaluating soils for wastewater and stormwater disposal are a plus.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
