Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a software engineering feature team to design, develop, and deploy a scalable and secure application.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design and implementation planning, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance standards.
- Provide guidance and coaching to immediate team members on daily tasks and activities, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Set the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration, fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
- Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
Requirements:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- 2+ years' experience managing a team of technologists, with a proven track record of leading technology projects and driving team success.
- Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods, proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Practical cloud native experience and expertise in technology disciplines, including Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working at code level with Python, Django, React, Typescript, and/or Javascript.
- Familiarity with Python libraries and understanding of databases and database queries.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems, with experience of internal audit or technology risk management practices.
