We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Advancement Liaison to join our team at The Greater Boston Food Bank. As a key member of our Advancement department, you will play a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of our fundraising and constituent engagement programs.

About the Role

The Salesforce Advancement Liaison will leverage GBFB's Salesforce instance to analyze data, streamline processes, and provide actionable insights that support strategic Advancement goals and philanthropic revenue KPIs.

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders in Advancement to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for Salesforce enhancements and reporting needs. Participate in workflow management process, invoking GBFB's Data Governance Committee as necessary, to ensure requests align with established prioritization and impact guidelines.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze Advancement data related to fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and constituent contact-ability to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Dashboards: In conjunction with ETSS, develop and maintain Salesforce reports, and dashboards, that provide insights into key performance indicators and metrics relevant to Advancement efforts. Provide user guidance on report request definition to ensure objectives and timelines are clear.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on Salesforce best practices, ensuring users can effectively utilize the system for their day-to-day Advancement activities. Design and execute onboarding and ongoing trainings for new Advancement employees.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the Advancement function, proposing solutions that leverage Salesforce capabilities.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively and synergistically with departments across the GBFB ecosystem to ensure alignment and integration of company-wide systems and processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, configurations, and system changes to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance, as well as alignment with GBFB policies and procedures.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Liaison, preferably in a fundraising or advancement setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce, including configuration, reporting, and data management.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience in creating dashboards and reports.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical and analytical concepts with users.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per year, along with a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. This role follows a hybrid schedule working in accordance with GBFB's hybrid work policy.
