About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced paralegal to join our team as a Legal Affairs Specialist. This is a full-time, exempt position that will provide critical support to our legal team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison to staff for general contracts information, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution to their queries.
  • Manage and maintain APTA's legal software, providing guidance and training to staff as needed.
  • Set up and maintain legal calendars for contracts, advising on renewals and updates.
  • Maintain agendas for legal team meetings and ensure working knowledge of Association policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Certification or associate degree in paralegal studies; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in a paralegal role, preferably in a nonprofit or association.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles, concepts, and legal research methodology relevant to document production in a legal context.
  • Must have contracts experience and working knowledge of legal software platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Project management skills and excellent communication and time management skills.
