Job Summary

AAM North America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and plant facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and plant facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions to identify and implement effective repair procedures.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address maintenance-related issues.
  • Perform welding operations, including gas and electric welding, to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Set up and operate various types of machine shop equipment to support maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software.
  • Experience with ABB robots and ability to modify positions and diagnose problems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary Information:

$30 - $40 per hour
