Maintenance Technician

At American Axle & Manufacturing, we're committed to delivering POWER for a safer, brighter, and more sustainable tomorrow. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and plant facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and plant facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions, and implement effective repair procedures to prevent reoccurrence.
- Navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for troubleshooting equipment faults.
- Modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots, including models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700.
- Install, move, and align new and existing equipment.
- Set up and operate various types of machine shop equipment with moderate accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform gas and electric welding operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certifications or degree.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a starting rate up to $37/hour, plus $1.00 shift premium. Performance and compensation reviews occur at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year. Previous industrial experience is required.
