Building Operations Manager

Imerys is seeking an experienced Building Operations Specialist to manage the day-to-day operations of our facility at the Johns Creek Science & Technology Center.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building infrastructure, safety protocols, and maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:Building & Infrastructure:- Building Access System: Manage the facility access system to ensure secure and appropriate access for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Infrastructure Management: Ensure that lab and office infrastructure are in excellent working condition by proactively addressing issues and setting up preventive maintenance activities, including for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Contractor Oversight: Act as the primary point of contact for lab maintenance activities, overseeing maintenance contractors and scheduling annual maintenance tasks.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with maintenance policies and conduct all tasks using good housekeeping practices.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the lab is in full compliance with federal, state, county, and Imerys HSE regulations, covering employees, visitors, contractors, and interns.
- Safety Promotion: Actively promote behavior-based safety and participate in safety audits, safety committee meetings, safety improvements, and inspections.
- Reporting and Tracking: Manage safety-related reporting and tracking systems, ensuring all safety processes are documented, maintained, and updated regularly.
- Purchase maintenance and related supplies: Purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other necessary supplies.
- Supply Management: Purchase office and lab supplies as needed, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Purchase Requisitions: Create purchase requisitions for the lab and manage invoice reconciliation in a timely and efficient manner.
- Expense Management: Ensure the timely payment of recurring expenditures, including facility cleaning, maintenance, security, and taxes.
- Efficiency Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce redundant activities, and optimize expenditure.
- Proven experience in building infrastructure
- Experience in safety regulations & protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using Google Suite, Excel, AX citrix or SAP, safety and facility management software
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Experience with purchasing and invoice management
- Hands on maintenance skills are a plus.
Required Activities: Must be able to get to all areas of the building, ability to drive, carrying boxes up to 25 lbs.
