Transportation Sales Strategist

The primary goal of this role is to sell intermodal transportation services and achieve sales targets with new prospects.
This requires identifying new business opportunities, negotiating new customer contracts, and developing/maintaining relationships with customers.
Responsibilities:- Own and exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory by $85,000 - $120,000/year.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company's customer base in North America.
- Built strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and partners to understand their business needs and objectives.
- Communicate effectively the value proposition through proposals and presentations to negotiate prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements.
- Identify potential customers in the target market and complete research on the prospects' business needs.
- Cold call for new prospects regularly and develop relationships with prospective shippers.
- Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements and maintain existing customer relationships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers with regards to overall account management.
- Report results, status of accounts, and leads to manager periodically.
- Complete the expected number of customer appointments, follow-ups, and leads weekly.
- Meet sales targets consistently.
- Become a subject matter expert on our business services, processes, and operations, and remain up to date on industry news.
- A proven sales executive experience achieving or exceeding targets.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization.
- Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Articulate the distinct aspects of our service offerings and position products against competitors.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent.
