Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Documentation: Accurately and timely document patient assessments and interventions.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and provide guidance on how to achieve independence.
  • Treatment Plan Implementation: Follow treatment plans designed by Occupational Therapists and work with patients to achieve their goals.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and case reviews to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from a recognized program in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Certifications: Licensed COTA and Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation.
  • Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and flexibility to meet unanticipated demands and priorities.
