Job Summary

The Terminal Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of passengers through the terminal. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and coordinate daily tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the terminal.
  • Respond to service level failures and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the terminal and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with airport tenants, staff, and customers.
  • Coordinate with the Port Authority, airlines, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure seamless operations.
  • Direct and monitor the performance of company subcontractors.
  • Support the Terminal B rules and regulations by reinforcing the Terminal B Breach of Rules program.
  • Direct guest service efforts of partners and subcontractors during periods of irregular operations.
  • Monitor and allocate common-use resources, troubleshooting scheduling conflicts as needed.
  • Support the snow team during winter operations.
  • Respond to incidents/accidents and conduct investigations/completes related reports as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (aviation major a plus), or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3 years of Operations experience in the hospitality field or an aviation or airport setting.
  • Experience working effectively in a regulated environment.
  • Knowledgeable in airport airside and terminal operations.
  • Valid Driver's License.
