Responsibilities- Contribute to the effectiveness of our clinics by identifying patient care issues and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Assess patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and medical histories.
- Determine abnormal conditions by administering diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including injections, immunizations, and wound management.
- Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, wellness, and health maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Protect patients and employees by complying with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing healthcare team by providing educational opportunities and experiential growth.
- Collaborate with other ConvenientMD-employed practitioners to develop daily work schedules, vacation time, and on-call schedules.
- A Master's degree and certification by a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certifying body is required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to meet quality standards and evaluate customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Proficiency in computerized information systems, including EMR.
- Understanding of relevant drugs, patient care aids, and medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment principles.
- Work collaboratively with other providers and healthcare practitioners to efficiently treat patients and plan coordinated dispositions.
- Prepare clear, complete, and accurate medical records for each patient under your care.
- Devote additional time as needed to attend to patients, complete paperwork, and perform administrative duties.
- Work collaboratively with other ConvenientMD-employed practitioners to develop daily work schedules, vacation time, and on-call schedules.
- Represent and promote ConvenientMD's practice in all public and professional meetings, conferences, and interactions.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner, communicate with others in a timely and respectful manner, and cooperate with colleagues and staff to facilitate high-quality patient care.
- Ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, with some bending and stooping required.
- Manual dexterity is necessary for clinical requirements.
- Lifting up to 50lbs is required.
