About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Services team at Grand Itasca. As a key member of our ICU team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered and evidence-based care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Registered with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
  • Equivalent of one (1) year Critical Care experience or two (2) years Medical Surgical experience within the past five years.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required and maintain certification.
  • Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) or attain certification within six months of employment and maintains certification.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Comprehensive Advance Life Support (CALS) certification or attain certification within 12 months of initial orientation in the emergency department and maintain certification.
  • ECG recognition/interpretation within six months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) CCRN certification preferred.
