Manufacturing Process Specialist

Barnes Inc. is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements and productivity on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports production milling, turning, and grinding processes to ensure efficient manufacturing.
- Collaborates with cell leads to troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions.
- Develops and implements material review processes to prevent defects and re-occurrence.
- Evaluates program cycle time against estimates and standards to ensure cost targets are met.
- Works with lab engineers, process engineers, and machine operators to ensure manufacture of parts meeting technical and quality requirements.
- Has a good working knowledge of GD&T principles.
- Assists machinists with setup, part, and inspection questions to ensure smooth production.
- Creates setup instructions to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Contributes to the evaluation and development of manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
- Analyzes and solves process and tool-related problems to ensure or increase productivity.
- Performs all work in a manner that ensures safety of self and others.
- Leverages continuous improvement tools to drive improvements and optimize manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of multi-axis milling, turning, and grinding process experience (aerospace preferred).
- Lean manufacturing experience and a proven track record of scheduling and organizing people and time effectively.
- Proficient at reading, analyzing, and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards.
- Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with CAD.
- BS degree (Engineering discipline preferred).
