As a Research Associate I at the Houston Methodist Academic Institute, you will play a vital role in conducting laboratory experiments and contributing to the advancement of research projects. Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
  • Conducting laboratory experiments and analyzing data for research grants and publications.
  • Establishing and maintaining quality control of project operations.
  • Writing and maintaining regulatory and safety committee applications/protocols.
  • Determining specific research project goals and objectives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A Master's degree in a related field or terminal degree with two years post-doctoral experience.
  • Five years of experience depending on education level.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a customer service-focused manner.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an estimated annual salary of $85,000 - $105,000 based on qualifications and experience. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
