Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced research and study of works in the collection
  • Recommend acquisitions and propose exhibitions and research projects
  • Maintain and update the online catalogue
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to develop partnerships and foster cross-institutional initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of interpretive programming, including public and educational programs, digital media, and social media
  • Foster and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, scholars, dealers, and collectors
Requirements
  • Master's degree in art history, art, or art education, or 2-4 years of curatorial experience
  • Fluency in at least one foreign language (modern or ancient) required
  • Competent to work in most curatorial functions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in art history with a specialization in Italian, French, Spanish, and British painting before 1800
  • Fluency in at least one foreign language, preferably Italian, French, and/or Spanish
  • Demonstrated experience with art historical research and writing
  • Proven interest in the field
