Director of Surgical Operations and Perioperative Care

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to serve as the Associate Vice President of Perioperative and Procedural Services at UF Health. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, operations, and financial management of all perioperative and procedural areas across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient care, operational efficiency, and financial performance in perioperative and procedural areas.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align perioperative and procedural services with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance patient safety, quality, and satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in perioperative and procedural services.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare management, financial management, and administrative/operational leadership.
- Experience in a leadership role at a Magnet Designated hospital and academic medical center with demonstrated success working in a matrixed management model.
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Experience in budget management, change management, and process improvement.
- Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida.
- Preferred certifications: Certification in nursing administration (NE-BC, NEA-BC, CENP), Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM), Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR), Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN), Certified Ambulatory Peri-anesthesia Nurse (CAPA), Certified Ambulatory Surgery Nurse (CNAMB).
- DNP or PhD.
- Experience in a leadership role at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Experience in budget management, change management, and process improvement.
