About the Role

Erlanger Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication.
  • Provide clinical services to patients at the facility, adhering to medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as corporate and facility policies.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing various psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' postgraduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
