Insurance Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Insurance Customer Service Representative at Angela Harrison Farmers Agency. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, advising clients on their insurance policies, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with our customers, counseling them on their insurance needs, and utilizing computer systems to schedule appointments, process premium payments, and review and update policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
  • Counsel clients on insurance policies based on their personal needs and goals.
  • Utilize computer systems to schedule appointments, process premium payments, review and update policies, handle claims, and make endorsements.
  • Treat each customer contact as a cross-sell and up-sell opportunity.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and follow established protocols.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
  • Property and Casualty License IS NOT required. Personal Lines experience is a BONUS
  • 1+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Experience using a multiline phone system, and utilizing computer software. Proficient typing/data entry skills.
  • Showing professionalism in all aspects of communication - verbal, written, or in-person - to maintain a positive working atmosphere and promote efficient communication.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other members of the team.
  • Creative, innovative thinker able to solve complex problems
  • Able to prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities based on importance
