We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at the City of Graham, NC. As a key member of our water treatment team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient treatment of wastewater and potable water.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant equipment, including pumps, clarifiers, and chemical feeders.
- Collect and analyze water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and repairing equipment, and performing minor laboratory tests.
- Record and report operational data, including gauge readings and daily report forms.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid North Carolina Class C driver's license required.
- Wastewater Grade II certification from NC DEQ or Water C-Surface certification from NC DEQ required within two years of employment.
