Job Title: Plant Worker

BCforward is seeking a skilled Plant Worker to join our team in Haw River, NC. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of waste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload waste from incoming vehicles and separate non-autoclavable waste for incineration.
  • Stage waste on conveyor systems or properly stack waste for scanning in the Biotrack system.
  • Scan waste into the Biotrack system for proper recordkeeping purposes.
  • Load autoclave bins or incinerator hoppers with waste for processing.
  • Decontaminate vehicles and cargo-carrying portions, reload assigned reusable tubs, and ensure the cargo-carrying portion of the vehicle is free of liquid.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, addressing housekeeping issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • One year of related experience or training, demonstrating strong communication skills and tact.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and push/pull carts weighing up to 500 pounds.
  • Knowledge of barcode scanning and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations.
