Job Summary

As a Diesel Fleet Services Foreman at Circle K, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations within our workshop. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient workflow, quality output, and a safe working environment. This is a hands-on leadership position, managing a team of skilled technicians and workers, while collaborating with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the shop operations, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing daily tasks to ensure the timely completion of projects and orders.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, upholding and enforcing safety protocols and regulations within the workshop.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control standards are met, and act as a liaison between the shop and upper management, relaying information about production status, challenges, and resource needs.
Collaborate with operations management to develop project plans and budgets, monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that necessary materials and supplies are readily available.
Lead and supervise a team of technicians and workers, providing guidance, support, and direction, and work on equipment when available or necessary.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, materials used, and project progress, and coordinate with other departments to align PM/repair schedules with overall business objectives for both tractors and trailers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred, or other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements.
Five to seven years of experience or more preferred, with a minimum of 4 years of management experience.
Proven experience as a Shop Supervisor or similar role in the diesel mechanic field, with experience in TMT, PeopleNet, and LYTX preferred.
Strong knowledge of diesel technology, proficient in mechanical analysis/software, and excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and knowledge of budgeting and cost control principles.
Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and knowledge of DOT laws/regulations.
Class A License preferred, and knowledge of 406 fuel tankers preferred.
