POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the healthcare team, reporting directly to the Director of Nursing. This role is essential in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients at DotHouse Health.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The RN is accountable for the comprehensive assessment, planning, execution, evaluation, and coordination of patient care for individuals and their families. Responsibilities include a wide range of direct and indirect patient care activities:
- Supervising the practice of medical assistants
- Communicating test results in accordance with established protocols
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Conducting patient triage
- Providing educational resources to patients
- Administering medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed
- Overseeing charge nurse duties
- Managing urgent and emergent patient care situations
- Assisting with or performing medical procedures
- Facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering safe, ethical, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive care
- Executing additional responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 2 years in Adult and Pediatric acute care medical/surgical environments.
- At least one year of experience in Ambulatory Care.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Must possess a valid RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and current BLS certification.
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is required.
