About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Assist the direct leader in developing and implementing action plans to improve store performance, including supervising day-to-day store activities and ensuring overall store performance.
  • Team Management: Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports, identify training opportunities, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive prompt and courteous service, and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels, and that stock is properly ordered and received.
  • Loss Prevention: Ensure that store personnel adhere to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies to minimize losses.
  • Store Maintenance: Ensure that the store is maintained in a clean and safe condition, and that equipment is properly maintained.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment, with a strong background in store management.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving, and to perform other physical demands of the role.
