Animal Health Services Director

We are seeking a compassionate Animal Health Services Director to lead our veterinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality medical care for animals in our shelter and foster homes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive animal health care program
- Providing medical care for animals in the shelter and foster homes
- Educating staff on animal disease and behavior
- Assessing and advising on treatment options for sick or injured animals
- Performing high-quality spay/neuter surgeries and other procedures as needed
The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited university, active Tennessee license to practice veterinary medicine, and DEA controlled substances registration. Experience with high volume spay/neuter and pediatric surgeries is preferred.
Benefits include 10 vacation days per year, 1 sick day per month, and 12 paid holidays. The estimated salary range is $106,923 - $165,731 annually.
