We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Mortgage Loan Originator. As a key member of our residential lending team, you will be responsible for originating and processing residential mortgage loans from application to closing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other referral sources to generate new business opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date on Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies, procedures, and loan products to provide expert guidance to customers.
- Utilize technology to efficiently manage loan applications, credit reports, and other documentation.
- Communicate effectively with customers, branches, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely updates and progress reports.
- Meet or exceed sales and cross-selling objectives, while maintaining high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year college degree preferred.
- Knowledge of conventional and government lending guidelines, as well as residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills, with a strong desire to excel in a competitive environment.
- S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required.
