Key Responsibilities:

1) Tax Planning and Compliance:
  • Prepare and review intricate tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
  • Provide expert guidance on tax planning strategies, deductions, credits, and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct in-depth tax research to remain informed about evolving tax laws and identify opportunities for tax efficiency.
  • Assist clients in addressing tax notices, audits, and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to formulate effective tax planning strategies that align with their financial aspirations.

2) Client Relationship Management:
Establish strong and trustworthy relationships with clients, acting as their primary contact for tax-related inquiries.
  • Understand clients' distinct needs and objectives to provide customized tax advice and solutions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and identify additional service opportunities.

3) Team Collaboration and Leadership:
Work alongside a diverse team of professionals within the firm, including accountants, auditors, and advisors.
  • Share knowledge, insights, and best practices with colleagues to elevate the overall quality of service.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments, sharing relevant information with the team.
  • Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, such as business development activities and process enhancements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax planning and compliance within a public accounting environment.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in tax software and research tools (e.g., CCH, RIA Checkpoint, Thomson Reuters).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the capability to analyze complex tax issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple engagements, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong client service orientation and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.
