Role Summary
The Client Relations and Sales Support Specialist plays a vital role within our Marketing and Sales division at Barco Products LLC. This position is essential in delivering exceptional, authentic, and tailored customer interactions by addressing and fulfilling the unique needs of each client. Our specialists are driven to assist both new and returning customers while contributing to the enhancement of sales revenue.
This role is office-based and offers a competitive base salary along with performance incentives.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage incoming calls and electronic communications as assigned.
- Address customer and sales inquiries, providing comprehensive service and sales assistance.
- Engage with customers to assess their needs, respond to product inquiries, suggest suitable products and solutions, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and resolve any issues.
- Generate quotes and shipping estimates, coordinate sample requests, create proofs, and process orders from initiation to completion within the order management system.
- Document customer requests meticulously and ensure accurate notation of any customer concerns.
- Develop expertise in our product offerings to provide optimal recommendations to customers.
- Promote new products when relevant.
- Effectively manage log-off periods to respond to customer inquiries, follow up, and finalize pending orders.
- Exhibit a positive, customer-focused demeanor.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, supporting colleagues and management.
- Demonstrate typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute and perform various data entry tasks.
- Utilize sales techniques and closing strategies acquired through in-house training to guide customers through the sales process and finalize sales from inbound channels.
- Create leads, prospects, and opportunities in the system for future follow-ups.
- Responsibilities may evolve based on business requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
- One or more years of experience in a customer service capacity; prior experience in a sales context is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with precision.
- Genuine enthusiasm for assisting others, recommending products and solutions, and closing sales.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet browsers, with the capability to compose basic business emails.
- Data entry proficiency – both alpha and numeric – demonstrating speed and accuracy.
- Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Prior experience with a CRM system is a plus.
