Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Solutions Coordinator to join our team at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board. This role offers an exciting opportunity to positively impact the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to identify their unique housing needs and assist them in navigating housing opportunities, including the creation of comprehensive housing plans.
  • Manage a caseload that demands supportive counseling and provide in-home, housing-focused skill supports, ensuring clients have the tools and resources necessary to secure stable, safe housing and achieve greater independence.

This position requires a strong understanding of housing resources for adults living with mental health, developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. The selected candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or Counseling and one (1) year of case management experience. Proficiency with various software and tools related to case management is essential, alongside solid documentation skills for maintaining accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
