Job Summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team.

This role is responsible for supervising the timely receipt, stocking, order filling, or shipment of merchandise. The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will utilize Standard Operating Procedures to resolve and correct problems, communicate issues to the Inbound/Outbound Manager, and review reports to determine daily department staffing levels.

The ideal candidate will have automated distribution center experience, two or more years of supervisory experience, and a strong understanding of inventory accounting. They will also be able to physically move throughout the distribution center to monitor the flow of merchandise, and have a good understanding of warehouse management systems and computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews WMS reports to identify potential issues
  • Utilizes Standard Operating Procedures to resolve and correct problems
  • Monitors daily department staffing levels and reviews staffing plan with Inbound/Outbound Manager
  • Conducts weekly and monthly staffing review with Inbound/Outbound Manager
  • Partners with Training Department to monitor new employee development tracking
  • Plans daily production goals and utilizes Productivity Improvement Plan process to identify improvement areas
  • Reviews quality measurements and reports status to Inbound/Outbound Manager

Requirements:

  • Automated distribution center experience
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of inventory accounting
  • Good understanding of warehouse management systems and computer skills
