Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Maintenance: Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Electrical System Installation and Repair: Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
  • Power Supply Wiring and Conduit Installation: Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Electrical Component Replacement: Replace faulty electrical components, such as relays, switches, breakers, motor starters, and positions sensing devices.
  • Electronic Component Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, to include circuit boards, using electronic test equipment and hand-tools.
  • Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Component Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active TOP SECRET Security Clearance, or eligibility to obtain.
  • Licensure and Certification: Must possess a current journeyman electrician license or meet the qualification requirements of the American National Standards Institute/International Electrical Testing Association ETT-2015, Standard for Certification of Electrical Testing Technicians and hold at least a Level 3 or 4.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or government facilities preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Heavy Physical Effort: Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 75 lbs.)
  • Prolonged Standing and Walking: Prolong, extensive or considerable standing/walking.
  • Manual Dexterity and Mobility: Manual dexterity and mobility.
  • Reaching, Stooping, Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching: Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
