We are seeking a dedicated Medical Social Worker to join our team at Tennova Hospice in Knoxville, TN. As a Medical Social Worker for hospice, you will provide essential medical social services under the direction of a physician and Interdisciplinary Group.


This role requires a Master's degree in social work and one year of experience in a healthcare setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients, significant others, physicians, and healthcare team members in understanding personal, emotional, environmental, and social factors related to their health status.


You will contribute to the development of comprehensive plans of care, instruct healthcare team members on community resources available to assist patients, and function as Bereavement Coordinator and supervise bereavement services. Requirements include CPR certification, a current Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.


The estimated salary range for this position is $**65,000 - $85,000 per year**, which reflects your valuable skills and experience.
