Salary and Benefits

Our compensation package reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. You can expect a salary range of $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on your location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a full benefits package with choice of affordable PPO or HSA medical plans, paid time off, and up to $1,300 in free healthcare services paid by Amedisys yearly when enrolled in an Amedisys HSA medical plan.

Job Description

As a CNA Hospice Specialist, you will provide personal care services to patients in their homes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care services to patients, including ambulation, transferring clients, and assisting with normal range of motion and positioning.
  • Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding, as assigned.
  • Performing homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
  • Observing, reporting, and documenting any changes in patient's status.
  • Following specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care.
  • Assisting patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements.
  • CNA experience within the last two years.
  • Current CPR certification.
