We are seeking a highly skilled Fact Checker to join our team at Condé Nast. As a Fact Checker, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our editorial content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date on national and international news, politics, science, and culture to ensure accuracy and relevance of editorial content.
- Analyze and evaluate editorial content for accuracy, logical consistency, and editorial integrity.
- Conduct research to verify facts and identify sources, and critically examine and evaluate a writer's sources.
- Work effectively with writers, copy editors, and editors to ensure accuracy and consistency of content.
- Review and verify supporting content, such as social copy, illustrations, and photographs.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure high-quality content.
- Additional duties as required or assigned by manager.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of ethical reporting standards and practices.
- Generalist's interest in world and national affairs and a scholar's aptitude for precision.
- Interest in a broad range of cultural subjects.
- Diplomatic skills to work successfully with a range of people in complex situations.
- Fluency in a second language is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work some early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
What We Offer:
