Job Summary: The Product Marketing Assistant (PMA) is a key member of the Heilind Mil-Aero team, responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Product Manager(s). This role is an integral part of the promotion and growth of designated product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Product Manager(s)
  • Support the promotion and growth of designated product lines
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of supplier policies, procedures, contacts, and products
  • Provide backup support to the Product Manager(s) as needed
  • Collaborate with other PMAs to expand supplier and product knowledge
  • Process quote requests and respond in a timely manner
  • Communicate challenging issues to the Product Manager(s) in real-time
  • Run expired ship and debit reports to renew supplier contracts monthly
  • Load vendor contracts in a timely manner
  • Create supplier bill of materials (templates) as required
  • Update supplier pricing and lead times as necessary
  • Process sample requests as required
  • Assist the Product Marketing Manager (PMM) and Product Managers on special projects
  • Assist Product Managers with open Quote Accelerator (QA) requests
  • Communicate with the QA coordinator as needed

Requirements:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two plus years related sales/marketing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in electronic component distribution sales or closely related field preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen due to Naval Contractual Agreements
  • Must be able to report to the Lumberton, NJ office during scheduled in-office workdays
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) at the intermediate level preferred
  • Business acumen and understanding of basic business formulas
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Customer service skills and ability to nurture and grow key supplier relationships
  • Business acumen and understanding of basic business implications of decisions
  • Communications skills and ability to effectively communicate messages both verbally and in writing
  • Planning and organization skills and ability to establish a clear plan of action and direct and manage execution of the plan to achieve intended results
