Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Team Leader to oversee daily activities in assigned cottages as directed by the Unit Supervisor. This role requires strong leadership and supervision skills, as well as the ability to provide training, weekly supervision, and performance documentation to ensure continuity of care and accountability of services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire, maintain, and teach knowledge of Prevention of Sexual Abuse (PSA) and Sexual Harassment standards, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care.
  • Demonstrate effective and consistent Therapeutic Crisis Intervention.
  • Maintain vigilant supervision of youth placed in 24/7 care.
  • Actively engage and encourage youth towards their treatment goals and in daily living.
  • Transport youth to appointments, recreation activities, court, family visits, etc.
  • Prepare timely and accurate documentation.
  • Understand and retain instructions for complex tasks.
  • Set clear, measurable, and specific goals for assigned staff and meet weekly for review.
  • Provide specific performance feedback to staff, both positive and corrective, as soon as possible after the event or action.
  • Oversee written evaluations, submitted evaluations, and any rate change submissions for approval.
  • Present evaluation to staff.
  • Maintain a professional environment consistent with existing contracts, licensing regulations, and established agency policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (paid at a higher rate). Alternative minimum qualifications established by California Department of Social Services and/or the Office of Refugee Resettlement must be met by candidates without a relevant degree.
  • Experience working with immigrant or refugee populations is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
  • A valid, unrestricted California driver's license is required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete and maintain required certifications and training, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and First Aid/CPR.
  • Must be able to understand and follow policy and procedures.
  • Must be able to document services, incidents, and other required forms/documents.
Salary Range

$44,782 - $49,261

The posted pay scale for this position serves as a general disclosure. Actual pay offered within the range will be dependent on individual factors such as skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
