About the Role

The General Manager is a key leadership position at K1 Speed, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our racing facilities. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and manage a team of salaried and hourly employees to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of staff members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and maintain a safe and enjoyable racing environment.
  • Facility Operations: Ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards, including compliance with OSHA guidelines, state health inspection regulations, and all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Cash Handling and Finance: Oversee cash handling procedures, including preparation of tills, change fund maintenance, and preparation of deposits. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and increase brand awareness. Collaborate with the sales team to promote private party events and ensure timely information is provided to support sales efforts.
  • Customer Service: Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring that all staff members understand and adhere to company policies and procedures. Respond promptly to customer complaints and concerns, providing solutions and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Performance Management: Set and achieve performance goals, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed to ensure the facility meets or exceeds company standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma required; Associates in Business or Hospitality preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of management experience in a related field, preferably in restaurant, entertainment, or hospitality.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Proficient in cash handling and financial management, with a strong understanding of marketing and promotional strategies.
Working Environment

The General Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of noise. The role requires the ability to lift up to 100lbs with reasonable accommodation and to work in a predominantly indoor setting, with occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
