Job Title: Mechanic Manufacturing II

Job Summary:

The Mechanic Manufacturing II is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment and machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex process issues, making mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment inventories, ensuring that all necessary parts and supplies are available.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and processes, making recommendations for improvements and process changes.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school.
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in plant maintenance and high-speed production equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
  • Preferred experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and certification in technical schooling.

Work Environment:

This role is based in a noisy, wet, and extreme temperature environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in these conditions and prioritize their safety and the safety of others.
