High School Science Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Science Teacher to join our team at RFK Community Alliance. As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a differentiated curriculum and instructing content to support students' ability to access the academic program.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and oversee progress on content and skill-based goals and evaluate and articulate progress collaboratively with the team.
- Implement grade-level curricula to meet academic standards based on the Mass. Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core Curriculum.
- Recognize the unique qualities of each student and incorporate them into appropriate lessons and/or projects.
- Operate a classroom that meets the student's needs for safety, educational growth, and social/emotional development.
- Assist in the development of Individual Education Program goals with the Education Coordinator.
- Provide classroom instruction necessary to help each student meet any Science goals established in their Individualized Education Program as well as curriculum goals for RFK Community Alliance and Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- MA teaching certification in Science or Moderate Disabilities
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- 37.5 hours per week: Monday - Friday, days; 12-month benefited position
