Unlock a new challenge each day in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with The Town Dock. We seek a skilled Regulatory Coordinator to join our team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing document control, label approval, and third-party audit work.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Food Science or a related field, with demonstrated regulatory experience. You should be a self-starter with organized and detailed work habits, excellent time management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

As a Regulatory Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, updating, and implementing SOPs and policies for all FSQA procedures
  • Assisting in the development of specifications for all ingredients, raw materials, and finished goods
  • Developing, measuring, and reporting on actionable regulatory and compliance KPIs
  • Assisting with and providing backup for plant inspections with FDA, DOH, and USDC
  • Providing and executing recommendations in collaboration with the FSQA Manager for regulatory process improvements
  • Creating and maintaining a regulatory training program in collaboration with HR and Quality
  • Overseeing the nutrition fact testing program and the label approval process
  • Participating in annual reviews of documentation, specifications, SOPs, and policies

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science or related field; demonstrated regulatory experience required
  • Self-starter with organized and detailed work habits and excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail with an ability to perform critical review of various types of documents
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and leads with a proactive, preventative, and inclusive mindset
  • Strong and demonstrable knowledge of QC procedures, GMP, GFSI, HACCP, FDA, and USDC regulations, and food industry best practices
  • Ability to be Seafood HACCP certified and work independently to achieve set goals and expectations
  • Expected to report onsite in Narragansett and be available for rotating on-call work on weekends and holidays
  • Ability to travel to other locations as needed, such as New Bedford, MA
  • Physical abilities: Climb ladders to inspect equipment, lift 20 lbs., sit at a desk doing computer work for long periods of time, and stand for long periods of time in cool temperatures and wet manufacturing environments
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required, Spanish a plus
